Note:

I found this empty journal among a pile of new acquisitions last week. I've asked around and tried to return it to its owner, but no-one has claimed it. Since It may be a while before I return to Wicklow, it might be wise to document my time with my new friends outside the library. Perhaps a stray thought or scrap of information written here would be seen as valuable to the library when I return. In the meantime, I suppose it will help me keep my memory sharp.

"What comes with the wisdom of age is paid for with the coin of youth". 

Did I read that somewhere, or did I just come up with that?
